Week 6 Project Life 365

admin • February 11, 2013

This week was a little hectic with commercial work, so I found myself struggling to keep up with my 365.

Here is week 6 in a nutshell………

1.  My youngest son wore this faux moustache for an entire day…..just had to capture it

2.  Despite a snow storm that dumped more than 30 cm in 24 hours, it was followed by a warmer forecast and rain……these are water droplets on my bedroom window

3.  Theme of the day was repetition……why my inner voice screamed boa and mask….I will never know why, but I went with it

4.  Theme of the day was “daily life”……what better place than in the grocery store.  I packed my camera in my purse. Those who know me, know that I am not a rule breaker…..so I felt like at any minute the grocery police were going to find me…….but the entire time I was singing……that song  Inner Ninja.  Not sure who sings it but it features David Myles.   Lyrics go something like…..I know I read the rules but I broke them……….

5.  Today can be summed up with one word “frustration”   It is the paperwork in this business that gets to me…….mixed up orders, paper work…..I had had it.

6.  Well, there is nothing like a family of four stuck at home during a snow day to get the cra-zae-zee juices flowing.  My husband….in his underwear, snow blowing !!!!!!!

7. I saw a photograph by fotosbyblake and thought it was so cool…….Photographing an object, through the eyes of another lens…….definitely pulled an arm  muscle with this one…..I just couldn’t get the lens far enough away while holding it………I felt a little like Elasti-girl from the Incredibles.

Back to black. Nature inspired me to create some new work. Going back to black to make the colours pop, I worked with an amazing seamstress to create this skirt intended to resemble leaves.
