Uprooted

Redevelopment brings along construction, mess and congestion. Amongst the chaos, I have found some gems…..This is the third little house that I have come across and incorporated into an image.
My mind was racing last night as I lay in bed. I had just found the third little house and was thinking of how to create another image. My creative juices were flowing til the wee hours of the night……With paper and pencil on my bedside table, I was able to write down my idea and get a few hours of shut eye before my day began. This image, appropriately titled is about being uprooted…..and what better way to represent the idea than literally?????

Back to black. Nature inspired me to create some new work. Going back to black to make the colours pop, I worked with an amazing seamstress to create this skirt intended to resemble leaves.
