I had the privilege of meeting Christa and Steve and their new baby over the weekend. This is what three weeks old looks like, all bundled up and ready for sleep. Well, ok, let’s be honest, Baby M did not sleep during this session despite all the tactics I had up my sleeve. We turned up the heat, played relaxing music, fed her, burped her, rocked her……She was just too curious about everything that was going on. She did however, manage to fit in a delayed blink and that is when I was able to capture this moment. But one second later she was wide eyed and ready to go.

Back to black. Nature inspired me to create some new work. Going back to black to make the colours pop, I worked with an amazing seamstress to create this skirt intended to resemble leaves.
