I do not take on the role of primary shooter for many weddings. I often shy away from the anticipated stress that weddings create for wedding photographers. It is a lot of pressure. You only get one chance to get it right. It gives me butterflies just thinking about it. However, I do get a thrill from working as a second shooter. I love being a part of such a special day, without the added pressure and complete responsibility. Although I tend to take those on regardless of my role.
When the perfect couple comes along, I just can’t resist. When Renata asked me to photograph her wedding, I jumped at the chance. Renata and Bruno are such a cute couple. They are two of the sweetest people that I have worked with.
Renata and Bruno were married this past Saturday. Friday brought us record amounts of rain. Union Station had flooding and my anxiety level was at an all time high. Rain…….No……..not rain I thought to myself. Actually I freaked out and everyone who knows me knows just how much I was freaking out.
Saturday promised more showers…….But, somehow, I convinced the universe to give me a break…..despite looming dark clouds, most of the forecasted rain showers held off until late afternoon. Thank you universe for being on my side.
Renata and Bruno were married at Queen of Peace Church. It is such a beautiful place to get married. The day was perfect in every way. I couldn’t have asked for more. (well I could have done without the added anxiety that came with the potential for all day rain……..but one more grey hair won’t kill me)
I wish you the very best Renata and Bruno. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to share in your special day. xo
